A number of latin phrases have been included: “Mors nos omnes habet” (Death gets us all); “Finis coronat opus” (The end crowns the work, i.e., the murderer is hanged for his crimes); “Semper eadem” (Always the same, i.e., Deeming is the same man as Jack the ‘Viper’/Ripper).
