“Lorenzo Snow, commonly called “Apostle Snow” … of the Mormon church, was convicted and sentenced on three indictments in the District court of Utah territory, for violating the 3d section of the act of Congress passed March 22, 1882, known as the “Edmunds act.” The judgments were affirmed by the Supreme court of Utah.”–p.
