To further comment on the tendency of misinformed, overzealous, and oftentimes criminally insane Christians and others who find and use Bible scriptures in order to justify murder, maiming, sabotage, you name it against “sinners,” I would like to bring to light a couple more of these go-to Bible verses.
Deuteronomy 28:16 (If you do not obey God’s commands and worship graven idols, then…) “Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.” Many maladjusted believers who believe that God “curses” people in their careers, personal lives, and also their families’, use this verse to attack these people under the guise of doing the Lord’s work.
Romans 1:28 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;” This verse essentially asserts that there are people who sin so much, that God has turned his back on them and disregarded them as hopeless, and has voided them as Heaven bound, and discontinued his watch over them, basically turning a blind eye to their future sins. The kind of person who will flip through Bible scriptures, looking for justification to attack someone, will easily use this verse as justification to do someone grievous harm, and use the excuse, “But they were of a reprobate mind!! God said it was ok for me to do that to him and his girlfriend, fiancé, wife, and/or kids!”
